The Saturday 7

 1. Justin's parents finally came home from Florida. We had dinner with them on Sunday, then they introduced us to a new game: Blank Slate. It was fun because even the kids could play. Levi was cracking himself up.  We're glad to have Grandpa and Grandma home - and not just because she cooks for us every other Sunday. 😂 While we were there, Lucy raided Donna's book closet and took home the first five Baxter family books by Karen Kingsbury. I gave her the Bailey Flanagan books a while ago because I thought she'd appreciate those more since they're about a teenager. But she was mad that I started her part-way through the series. So now she's going to start from the beginning, and once she finishes we're going to watch the new Baxter Family TV series!! I hope she reads fast! 2. Levi had to give a presentation at school about blacksmiths in colonial days. He was so excited, and had so much fun working on his little spiel. Here he is practicing for Lena: Safety

This is going to be a quick one, and less polished than you're used to. Lol.  1. My family has been sick for weeks - Justin and the girls had/have coughs and congestion, then Levi got it (along with a random fever, as is his norm), but I've stayed remarkably healthy - largely thanks to my tried and true Dr Pepper regimen. Alas, the Dr Pepper finally failed me and I woke up with a miserable cold on Wednesday morning. Thus far, I've avoided the cough (🤞🤞🤞), and the worst part has been my plugged ears. It is such an annoying/disorienting feeling! Listen, I'm already legitimately hard of hearing (#callmekatie), adding in this block that feels like having ear plugs stuffed in my ears all the time is not enjoyable ! I've tried all the tricks I can think of - jumping on one foot, hanging upside down, chewing gum, etc. Nothing helps. It comes and goes at it pleases. Grr. I really need to avoid the cough and subsequent bronchial inflammation I usually get because our good

What does it say about me that I haven't blogged in two weeks, and I still have nothing to say? Haha. Don't worry. I'll dredge something up this week.  1.  We've been doing a good job of sticking to our new screen time limits - nothing during the week, lots over the weekend. There have been a few times that the kids did their required activities to earn an hour of screen time during the week, but usually they decide it isn't worth it. The nice weather helps a ton. Levi is out playing with the neighbor kids any chance he gets, and Lena's upping her gymnastics game on the trampoline. Levi's other new obsession is writing stories. He's been working on his book every time he has a minute of free time at school and illustrating every page. He brought it home this week because he wanted me to type it into the computer. But his spelling and [non-existent] punctuation are so incredibly bad that I couldn't decipher it at all. He finally read it out loud to me

1. It was birthday week for Levi. We started on Sunday with my family. Since Saylor's birthday is just 6 days before his, they got to have a joint celebration. Levi told me on the way there that he loves sharing his birthday with her. I hope she'll feel the same way as she gets old enough to know better! Haha. 2. The other news of the week was the weather.  Those ice cream drivers ain't no dummies. They know my kids have been waiting all winter to blow their money on overpriced ice cream! Lol.  That was Monday after school. On Tuesday, we broke the record high, hitting 73* on February 27! I opened all the windows! All three kids outside after school! But, of course, all good things must come to an end. It was a one day phenomenon that swiftly reverted back to normal. By 5:00 it was 71* but we were under a winter weather advisory. It's not every day you see those two things side by side! Lol. I got this weather alert that tomorrow would be 40* cooler than today! Then the
