The Saturday 7

1. Another week of summer fun! I can't believe it's almost the end of June already. Why is summer going so fast?? I've seen a bunch of deals on school supplies in my facebook deal groups, and I should probably be stocking up for the fall, but I can't even think about it yet. Let me enjoy summer first!  2. We had our first "cousin fun day" of the summer this week. My sisters and I block out a few days to spend together at the beginning of each summer. Of course, we see each other a lot outside of those days, but we like to make sure we have some on the calendar before we all get busy with other things. This week's activity was Lewis Farms : the hidden gem of West Michigan. I feel like I should get a commission for all the people I've introduced to this place, but it's seriously one of our favorites. In May, they run a deal on cheap summer tickets, so we pre-bought them at a discount. It is  a bit pricey without the discount, but it's worth it fo

 1. Well I survived another week at Once Upon. I finally got trained this week to do all the basic tasks . . . and I kept thinking I should've gotten an easier job. When I went to Meijer today, I was a little envious of the cashier who just had to scan each of my items and then push a button for me to swipe my credit card. Newbies like me don't have much to do with the buying part. But I had to learn how to put the clothes on hangers (each size and style has certain specifications: small hangers for size 0-4, larger for bigger. Clip the legs up on the hanger for pants of a certain size and pajamas of a certain size. Leave them long for other sizes. Make sure the hangers are pointing the right direction. Clip the pants sideways on the small pants, but shorts of all sizes

1. The first week of summer break was a success! We did some swimming, some bike riding, some popsicle eating, went to Nash and Nova's t-ball game,  and even went out for ice cream with Grandpa and Grandma. Of course I made us a summer schedule, and of course we only stuck to it for one day. 😂 It's still going to be my loose goal, but I'm not tied to it if other things come up. Mostly, it's a visual guide for my kids to know when they're allowed to do screen time. I was pleasantly surprised this week that they did a decent job of entertaining themselves outside of screens. Lena, my little "cruise director" made a Summer Bucket List, and she and Levi checked off a few things already (movie night, giant living room fort, etc.). Levi's been working hard on gaining confidence on his bike, so he's been riding up and down our street a lot. He's even been playing with Legos and these straw connector things! 2. Lena decided to spend some of her leftov
