It's Just Pictures

I have almost nothing to share this week, so I'm just going to share pictures/memes. Lena got to do her family tree project. #ifyouaintdutchyouaintmuch Stella's expensive tail is still healing. I made pull-apart garlic cheese bread. As is typical of 98% of my cooking endeavors, it wasn't as good as I'd hoped. It called for Italian seasoning, but I forgot that I hate basil. And the cheese didn't melt.  Then Stella figured out how to get her bandage off, and we've all been forced to look at her creepy half-shaved tail. With purple sutures. Levi had a soccer game today. He still didn't earn McDonald's, but he's trying! I found an old hymnal. Lena and I spent an hour today singing hymns/Christmas carols. And now for memes! There's a lot. Hang on to your hats. I may have shared this before, and I don't know why I didn't crop it, but it cracks me up. 🤔 Lol it's true Also true Kids these days . . . 😂 😂😂😂🐖 Seriously, though. I think ou

1. Last week my kids were playing in the sprinkler and I was opening windows at night to keep my house temp under 80 so I wouldn't have to turn on the air. By Monday, it was snowing when I had to do recess duty. Oh Michigan. It was a very wet snow, and I got drenched.  At least I was stylin' on the playground. Lol. All four seasons in one week! 2. I've been thinking about creating a "summer reading" list for some of my library classes now that the school year is winding down. I know there are other parents out there like me who want someone to vet recent children's books for appropriate content. It's getting harder and harder to find middle grade novels that don't have any sneaky agenda in them, and it's a lot of work to pre-read everything. So I ordered a whole bunch of books from the public library this week and have been plowing through them. I found a couple that I loved and a couple duds.  My favorite was Adventures with Waffles  by Maria Parr

I have two weeks to catch up on! 1. Spring break was lame as usual. I watched various nieces and nephews throughout the week, so my kids were happy to have other kids to play with.  We also had friends over on Thursday, so it was fun to catch up with them. Other than that though, the main event of Spring Break was just . . . 2. The gardens with the cousins. We go most years to see the butterflies, and most years the kids zip through the butterfly exhibit in 10 minutes then want to go home. But this year, a lot of them were actually pretty interested! We had fun! A butterfly landed on Lena. She was partly terrified/partly excited. With my buddy Cove We always have to take a pic by this sign. 3. On Friday, Lena woke up in the middle of the night with terrible ear pain. I knew it had to be an ear infection, so I got her in to the doctor right away. Sure enough, it was infected and had some kind of fluid filled sac that the doctor said could pop any time. Of course, our normal pharmacy did
