The Saturday 7

1. We finally got our first real glimpse of spring this week. We've had little tastes of it here and there, but almost every day this week was sunny and bearably warm. Don't get me wrong. I still sat outside in jeans and sweatshirts, but Lena jumped straight to her summer wardrobe: I was so excited to have a fenced in backyard so I could just send the kids out to play. But all they want to do is ride their bikes now that we got them from my parents' house. Lena's actually the only one who can truly ride a bike, but Levi wants to push his car back and forth up the sidewalk over and over and over. And the country girl in me is too nervous to let him play out front without my supervision. So I spent a lot of time sitting in the sun watching them ride this week . . . and a lot of time yelling, "Go play in the backyard!!" (Lucy has very little interest in being outside unless we're going for a walk, preferring instead to sit inside and read. #theappledoesnt

1. I took the kids for a walk one day this week when the sun was shining and I needed to get out of the house. They don't know anything but country life, so they love the sidewalks in town. Haha. They are obsessed  with going for a walk now. Lena and Levi ask to go for walks at least ten times a day. This morning, Justin walked with them to the grocery store and brought home donuts. A couple days ago, we did a "test walk" to Niki's house. I'm planning on walking there this summer to swim in her pool, but had never actually made the walk before, so wanted to make sure it was a reasonable distance. It is ridiculously close. (Like less than a mile!) I'm so excited. Except now Levi keeps saying, "I going to walk to Niki's house!" Better keep my eye on that kid. I bribed him with a walk last night if he took a bath with no crying. He doesn't understand the concept of a "walk", though, and seriously runs the entire time. I need a leash .

1. We're continuing to get settled in the new house. I'm loving the layout of the kitchen/living room/dining room/bedrooms. Except that the girls are still sharing a room and they never sleep. They literally don't fall asleep until midnight, but then they sleep until 9 or 10 am and I kind of enjoy that. Lol. Levi has officially moved to the toddler bed. I think we've had 2 nights in the past 2 weeks that he's actually slept all night - or at least until 6 am (then he sleeps in my bed with me until 9ish). Twice, he's gotten up around 3 a.m. and climbed into Lucy's bunk bed (top bunk). He wakes her up and gets stuck at the top of the ladder. I usually hear them eventually and go intervene. The one downfall to having our bedroom in the basement is that we don't always hear Levi when he sneaks out of his room - despite having the baby monitor turned up full blast. 2. I've been slowly putting up decor. I'm nervous about putting holes in the walls
