The Saturday 7

1. Last Saturday, Justin and the guys went on their 1st annual man weekend, so I had all the girls over. We stayed up til 4 am talking!! Pulling all nighters like that was a lot easier before we had kids. Lucy was up by 7:30. Yikes. I was tiiiired on Sunday. 2. Justin and I have both been fighting a nasty cold all week, but amazingly, Lucy hasn't gotten it. *knock on wood* I don't understand how germs work. I got this cold from Kelly - who I never shared a drink with or kissed or anything. I share utensils and straws with Lucy all the time and am constantly kissing on her, yet she didn't get it. Hurray for her immune system, I guess! 3. I actually thought Lucy was getting sick on Saturday because she started coughing. I've decided that she just has a really weak gag reflex, because sure enough, that little cough caused her to puke pizza alllll over her bed in the middle of the night. That girl and her puking. So strange. But she really hasn't been coughing much

10 Weeks

Our cutest picture to date. :-) How far along?  10 weeks Total weight loss/gain : I haven't weighed myself this week. Maternity clothes? Still trying to hold out a while longer. Sleep : Wonderful. I could sleep all day every day. Best moment this week : Sharing the news! Movement : Nope Food cravings : Restaurant food and Dr Pepper - not sure that's really pregnancy related. Haha. Food aversions : Nothing really. Gender : Unknown, but I'm convinced it's a girl. Labor Signs : None Belly Button in or out? Out :-( What I miss : Being able to take good cold medicine. What I am looking forward to : Hearing the baby's hb at my appt next week. Milestones : 10 weeks is 1/4 of the way there! Nothing too exciting happened this week - well except for sharing the news finally! Woohoo! I've enjoyed letting my belly hang out instead of trying to hide it. I'm sure I'm causing a lot of "is she pregnant or just fat?" discussions between people at the gr

1. The news is out! I'm pregnant! I've only been keeping it a secret for 5 weeks, but it has about killed me! Haha. Now that I have a history of miscarriages, my doctor got me in for a couple early ultrasounds. I had my first one at 7 weeks. The baby just looked like a jelly bean, but I could definitely see a beating heart. It was amazing! I physically lost my other babies at 9 and 10 weeks, but they both measured 6 weeks. So seeing a live baby at 7 weeks was already a huge relief for me. Then on Wednesday I went in for my 9 week ultrasound. This time it actually started to look like a baby! I could see its arms and legs moving a little bit and its heartbeat was 180 bpm! I haven't been feeling the greatest. I'm not puking my guts out or anything, but I've been pretty miserable and exhausted. (Another reason I gave up on potty training Lucy so quickly - I just didn't have the energy to keep up with it!) I am unreasonably huge: If I hadn't seen 2 ult

1. What a week. I'm posting a day early because we're going on vacation this weekend! After all my whining a couple weeks ago about not having a lake house, we're going to a cottage on a lake! Haha. Justin's parents have some friends who have a cottage. Dave and Donna are staying there this weekend and invited us to come up too! So excited. It is going to be a much needed vacation after this awful week. 2. Monday morning, we got up at 5:10 to carpool with Justin to work. We got in the car, turned the key, and . . . nothing. Click, click, click. Mind you, this is our one working vehicle. We don't have another car in the garage to jump his with. We both sat there in disbelief, wondering what on earth we were going to do. Somehow, by the grace of God, Justin got it started. We got to his work and he turned the car off to make sure I'd be able to get it started again later. No such luck. It was dead as a doornail. Fortunately, Justin works with my brother-in-law,

Busy week! I feel like I have lots to write about! 1. Lucy randomly got sick this week. Monday morning when I got her out of bed to go to work, I thought she felt really warm, but I figured it was just because it was hot in her room. On the way to work, she puked all over herself. Lovely. I took her temperature when we got to Chase and Lyla's house: 101*. Poor girl. My boss couldn't miss work, so I had to stay. And Justin couldn't take the day off to come get Lucy because he used all his sick days for my D&C in January. So we stuck it out at work. She actually did pretty well as long as the Tylenol lasted. Every 4 hours, she started to melt down. She puked one more time at home that night, but was totally fine by Tuesday morning. 2. So the news of the week is that my van died. It's been stalling and acting weird for a while, but on Tuesday it totally died. I was actually at work. I had just dropped Chase off at school and was driving home with Lucy and Lyla, goi

1. Every time we drive by Big Boy, Lucy shouts "boy!" She's been there like twice in her life, but apparently it made an impression on her! 2. We went to the podiatrist this week as recommended by Lucy's pediatrician. Her left foot points in when she walks and the doctor thought we should get it checked out just to make sure it isn't anything serious. Her appointment was at 9:30, but they told me to get there 15 minutes early to fill out paperwork. We got there at 9:20 whereupon I signed 3 pieces of paper and waited in the waiting room for 20 minutes. We didn't see the doctor 'til 10, and didn't leave the building until 10:40! Craziness. Lucy did really well letting the doctor poke and prod her hips, knees, and feet. But she was not a fan of the x-rays. She looked so miserable just standing there crying. :-( Anyway, the verdict is this: her foot points in out of habit, not because anything is wrong with her bones. The doctor wasn't too concerned
