The Saturday 7

1. We had a stretch of nice weather this week that had us going to three parks in three days.  Taking the kids to the park is not my favorite thing, so I had to brag to my sisters via snapchat about the extra mom-points I was getting. On Monday, these two goofballs begged me to walk them down to the vacant parking lot at the end of the street so they could see how high they could bounce a golf ball. Haha.  2. I got sucked into more genealogy research this week. It's really a never-ending pursuit. There's always another family line to explore. Earlier this week, I went back as far as I could through my dad's mom's side. There were lots  of Caspers/Kaspers and Berends. For many generations it went: Casper, the father of Berend, the father of Kasper, the father of Berendt, the father of Casper. It's so confusing. Haha. I discovered that that side of the family is German, though. I always thought we were straight up Dutch. Actually, my great great great grandpa (Kasper)

1. Remember last week when I said I was considering refinancing our mortgage? I did some basic google searches about current rates, so then of course I started getting facebook ads about it. And I did something very stupid and clicked on one. Even stupider . . . I entered my phone number. 🤦🤦🤦 What was I thinking?? That was Monday. Since then, I have blocked 22 spam calls - most from almost exactly the same number - just one or two digits are different. These people really want my money. The worst part is I decided not to refinance anyway, so it was a futile mistake. Haha. 2. Are you guys excited about March Madness?? I couldn't care less about sports most of the time, but I was sad to miss out on the bracket fun last year. We're back at it this year, and I'm pulling for Villanova even though they're a 5 seed. I'm in 2nd place in the bracket as of now (stinkin' Tennessee really derailed me). We'll see how long that lasts! 😂  3. Yesterday we had another co

1. We finally had our first taste of spring this week! It was short lived, but absolutely glorious. The kids have spent hours outside, and all the neighborhood kids have been over. Apparently we're the only house in the neighborhood with a trampoline, and it's a big draw. The warm weather just makes me so happy. I wish it could've lasted a little longer, but it gave us just enough hope to make it through the rest of winter!  2. Have y'all seen the new stimulus package? Guys. We are getting so much money. 😬 I seriously don't understand where this money is coming from, and I do not think it's particularly wise, but I'm not going to turn it away! The money is already pending in our account, so as long as we don't have any unwelcome surprises in the next few months, this should allow us to be debt free aside from our mortgage! I've actually kind of been considering refinancing our mortgage. We refinanced less than a year ago, but rates have dropped so m

 1. Sunday was Levi's birthday (or as close as we can get during a non-Leap year). We celebrated before church with cinnamon rolls and presents. Lena made him the sweetest card and gave him $2 of her own money. 💗 Then after church, we celebrated with my family. At school on Tuesday, he got to be the birthday king for the day. 2. I did lots of schoolwork this week. The semester is winding down and I've had a couple big assignments. I'm really enjoying it, though. I love the excuse to write essays and do research. Next semester, I'm taking Children's Lit, which I'm super excited about. But I'm also taking "Access and Outreach Services" which is an introductory class about library services like interlibrary loan and public library outreach services including customer service. Yikes. And  I'm taking Reference and Information Systems, which is a 200 level class, and I'm worried it's going to be a lot of work. Haha. It's 15 credits total
