The Saturday 7

1. On Monday, Levi, Nova, and I met up with my cousin and her daughter for a trampoline park play-date. Kids under 5 didn't have to wear a mask, so Levi just skated in under the cut-off. The kids had a blast, the place wasn't busy, and my cousin and I got to sit and chat . . . as well as we could with masks on, since we're both deaf. Lol. 2. This week has been a whirlwind of planning, prepping, making lists, checking lists, and thinking about lists. We're leaving for Florida tomorrow afternoon, so I spent all week doing laundry and shopping and packing. Plus, I was in charge of Lena's school Valentine's Day party on Friday, so I spent many hours working on that as well. There were days that I had every minute mapped out for myself. "Clean from 8-9, work on party from 9-10, shower from 10-10:30, etc." And every afternoon by 4:00 I inevitably crashed. I've been taking Plexus faithfully for about a month and a half. It's supposed to stop my aftern...

1. I was searching for something on Audible the other day and came across the version of the One Year Bible that I've been doing since last January (it's more like a One and a Half Year Bible in my case). It was only $3, so I bought it, uncertain I'd really get much use out of it. I am not a huge fan of audio books. My mind tends to wander if I'm not really making myself concentrate. And let's be honest, my mind wanders frequently while reading the physical Bible, so I wasn't sure how I'd do with the audio version. However, I was pleasantly surprised! One day this week I didn't feel good and didn't want to get out of bed, so after I dropped the kids off at school, I climbed back under my warm covers and turned on the Bible. Another time, I listened to my day's reading while driving home from the grocery store. I'm really enjoying the convenience of it.  2. I also started a new book this week: Mama Bear Apologetics . It is so good. I whipped ...

Well let's see what I can come up with this week. I have three things jotted down. We'll see if I can stretch that to seven . . . 1. Justin's grandpa passed away Sunday evening. All four of his boys were able to say good-bye, and Grandma was with him when he passed. It's sad for those of us left behind, but as Justin said, "he's not in a wheelchair anymore! He has full mind capacity. He's not in pain or confused anymore." We're thankful for the promise of eternal life.  Father's Day 2016 Sadly, Sunday was also Justin's birthday. I lost our second baby on that day 9 years ago, so it's becoming somewhat tainted with death. 😢  2. We managed a little bit of celebration for Justin. We had lunch with my family and a joint celebration for Justin/Lena. Then, while the kids and I stayed to play cards and hang out, Justin went ice fishing for hours - his favorite. 😁 We intend to go out to celebrate at some point, but wanted to wait for restaura...

Oops. Looks like I have two weeks to catch up on again!  1. My mom signed up for Discovery Plus and lent me her login, so we've been binging on all the best HGTV shows lately - Design Star, Good Bones, Rehab Addict, Magnolia Table, Property Brothers, etc. In the same week, Niki signed up for PureFlix and let me have that login as well. I love being able to tell the girls, "You can watch whatever you want on this streaming service." Lucy loves all those sappy movies that make me want to claw my eyes out. Lol. I also enjoyed introducing Levi to Veggie Tales (the old school ones - not the fake new Netflix version!) and 3-2-1 Penguins. Sharing passwords is the best! 😁 (I pay for my own Disney+ and Hulu. I'm not a total freeloader!!) 2. I'm still chugging along on my college classes. They're pretty easy so far. The professor uploads an introductory video (that I watch in 1.75x speed because she's talks soooo slowly and says "um" 600,000 times - yay, ...
