33 Interesting Facts About Me on My 33rd Birthday

These are getting harder and harder to come up with. You all know everything about me by now! So some of these are pretty lame. Haha. 1. I have my credit card number memorized. I really hate getting up off the couch to find my credit card while I'm online shopping, so I memorized all the information. Good for my laziness. Bad for my budget. Haha. 2. I have an aversion to wearing socks. Obviously, I wear them when I'm cold, but my feet inexplicably get unbearably hot every night at 10:00 almost like clockwork, and I have  to take my socks off immediately. I'm terrible about remembering to take care of said socks, so I have a bad habit of leaving them everywhere. 3. I don't wear deodorant in the winter. I don't sweat and I don't stink, so why bother? 4. I would rather watch a TV series than a movie. I actually very rarely watch movies. 5. I'm not afraid of spiders or snakes, but I can't handle mice or bats. (Or bears, obviously.) 6. I haven...

1. My birthday is in 4 days. It snuck up on me this year. I'm actually not even that excited. 33. That's dangerously close to 40. And it's all downhill from there. I told Justin I want a house for my birthday, so I'm not expecting much in the way of gifts. And I feel like we shouldn't even spend money on fast food like I usually do the week of my birthday. Adulting, man. It's the worst. 2. Speaking of annoying adult problems . . . the house inspection this week was pretty disappointing. The furnace has serious problems - to the point that it is dangerous to operate. There's a ventilation problem in the attic. The hot water heater was installed incorrectly. And there aren't enough heating vents - like none in the dining room or kitchen - which is pretty much one side of the house. We're in the process of getting quotes for the furnace and attic, and we intend to ask the sellers to cover those expenses. Their realtor says they are going to be coope...

1. So, I think we bought a house this week . . . This is going to be long . . . - We went to another open house on Sunday. It was a really nice ranch with 3 bedrooms and a full basement that would be an amazing play room. After the open house, we came home and talked to our parents, double checked our budget, talked it over, and decided to make an offer. By the time we called our realtor, the house had sold. *facepalm* In this market, there's no time for deliberating. You have to make impulsive offers and be ready to go immediately. That's just not my personality! I need time! - On Wednesday, a new house came on the market that had 4 bedrooms! I was beginning to despair that we'd ever find something with 4 bedrooms that wasn't in total disrepair. But this house was beautiful. It has wood floors, an updated kitchen, and nice big bedrooms. AND it's in my ideal area! I texted Justin, "I want this house. I'm ready to make an offer sight unseen." He s...
